Training

I completed a four- year Graduate Diploma course in Physiotherapy at Leeds School of Physiotherapy, where I obtained my registration. I am a member of the Health Professional Council.
I have worked as a Senior Physiotherapist within the NHS and, together with my current work as a physiotherapist specialising in the holistic treatment of clients, I have twenty years of clinical experience offering a wide base of skills.
I consider myself to be a holistic practitioner and I believe in treating the person as a whole with an empathetic approach.  The physiotherapy skills that I have include the use of relaxation, mobilisation, massage, acupressure and electrotherapy.
My goal with each client will be to listen and to restore the body back to harmony and balance through pain relieving techniques.  To complement my work, I use acupunture for pain relief and stress. Here fine needles are inserted into the skin which release endorphins to give a sense of well-being and to reduce pain and stress.

 Conditions Treated
Joint pain; osteoarthritis; neck and back pain; sciatica; migraines; soft tissue injuries; stroke; poor posture; paraplegia and asthma

At the first visit a detailed history is taken as part of the assessment. An objective examination is then taken to find out the nature of the problem, painful areas and a plan devised to assist in helping the condition to a good recovery.
