Craniosacral Therapy

Mike Hadden

Craniosacral Therapist

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on treatment that supports the body’s natural ability to relax and heal. It works with the craniosacral system, the membranes and fluids surrounding the brain and spinal cord, which has its own subtle rhythm often called the “breath of life.”

CST uses very light touch, usually on the head, feet, or sacrum. There is no manipulation, no massage and no fixed routine. Instead, the therapist listens to the body’s natural rhythms and supports it in releasing tension and restoring balance.

Mike’s approach is to work with the body, not against it—holding a safe, calm space that allows the body’s own intelligence to guide the healing process.

What is a session like?

Every session is different. Most people feel deeply relaxed. You may notice:

  • Warmth, tingling or gentle pulsations

  • A sense of movement or “unwinding” inside the body

  • Emotions, memories or images arising

  • Temporary discomfort as tension releases, followed by ease

Clients often describe feeling lighter, calmer, and more at ease afterwards. Many also report better sleep.

What can it help?

Craniosacral Therapy is suitable for many conditions, including those that don’t respond well to other treatments. It works safely alongside medical care and psychotherapy and is gentle enough for fragile or elderly clients, and for those who have experienced trauma.

People seek CST for support with:

  • Back, neck, and joint pain

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Chronic Fatigue, ME and Fibromyalgia

  • Digestive issues, including IBS

  • Stress, anxiety, nervous tension and insomnia

  • Shock and PTSD

  • Or simply to feel more balanced and energised

“My body felt freer and lighter, and I felt peaceful and more comfortable in my own skin after yesterday’s session with Mike. I slept deeply for the first time in weeks. This gentle, non-invasive treatment was amazing. Thank you!”

Mike Hadden

My first career was as a teacher. I became interested in Craniosacral therapy through my own experience with it. It made me feel more alive, at ease with myself and at home in my body.I completed my training with the Institute of Craniosacral Studies in 2006 and CST has been an important part of my life since then. I enjoy helping clients to re-discover a sense of natural well-being and trust in the wisdom of the body

The cost is £50 for an hour.
